Purpose
Hilton Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and motivated Toolmaker to join our stable and growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on the design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures to support production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
- Manufacture, repair, and maintain press tools, jigs, fixtures, and tooling components
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications with accuracy
- Perform precision machining including milling, turning, grinding, and fitting
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement effective, practical solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Tool Room.
- Proven experience in press tools or a tooling/manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience in the design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures
- Solid understanding of jig and fixture design principles, including poka-yoke and robotic welding applications
- Experience working within Continuous Improvement frameworks (Kaizen)
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
